How much space is required for delivery?

  • Please view the Truck Measurements page to check for specific dimensions of our roll off & semi-trucks with load. To check container dimensions, please view the individual container pages for full specifics. Contact us if you have further questions or concerns and we can help you figure out if the container will fit where you wish to place it.

Is there any site preparation necessary?

  • The delivery/drop-off surface should be fairly level, smooth, and firm. We can deliver on dirt, cement, pavement, asphalt, gravel or grass.

How is my lock protected?

  • Porta-Stor storage containers come equipped with a steel lock box welded to the outside of the unit. The lock box conceals and protects your lock from being tampered with. Not sure which lock to buy? We now sell locks for our containers. If you wish to purchase one or two just ask us and we will add it to your order for a small additional fee.

What if I cannot be at the location for the delivery or pickup?

  • Delivering a container with no one there is a possibility.

How do I schedule a pickup of my container?

  • Once you are done with the storage container call Porta-Stor to setup your FREE REMOVAL and we will pick up the container within two to four business days. We stop billing the day the container is empty not the day we pick it up.

Can the container be moved to another location?

  • Our storage containers can be moved from one place to another known as a "Respot", if need be for a low cost additional fee. Contact a Porta-Stor service representative for more details.

Are the containers weatherproof?

  • All Porta-Stor storage containers are water-tested before they leave the delivery yard. They are completely enclosed and sealed so your contents stay dry and secure.

What if my container needs repair?*

  • Porta-Stor will maintain the unit throughout the term of the rental period. If you need maintenance, simply give us a call and we will come out promptly. Maintenance caused by natural causes (rust, sun exposure, etc...) will be fixed free of charge.

Our trucks and containers are heavy equipment and can, in some situations, cause damage to driveway, street, yard, or curb along the delivery path or in the placement area. If damage does occur, Porta-Stor is not liable. Customer is responsible for the equipment while it is on rent, including theft, damage, destruction, or injury. If we are unable to deliver for any reason such as a blocked placement site or inability to reach a contact person, a dry run fee may be charged known as a "cancellation fee". Fuel charges may apply.
